Testing
College applicants are required to take a number of standardized tests. Since each institution has individual requirements and preferences, you should familiarize yourself with the particular requirements of those institutions to which you think it likely you will apply.
Although standardized testing is by no means the single determining factor in college admissions, test results are carefully examined and considered during the evaluation process. Please note that most undergraduate institutions appraoch the evaluation process in a holistic format meaning they take a plethora of information into consideration such as academic profile, personal information, extacurricular activities, work experience and recommendations from faculty.
It is imperative to begin an early and thorough preparation for these examinations, preferably during the second semester of your sophomore year of high school.
In general, ABAFAOILSS member institutions accept the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the American College Testing Program (ACT) as part of their testing requirements. For more specific information on the SAT and ACT exams, please refer to the following websites:
